Becky Lynch has become one of the biggest stars in WWE over the years. She wasn’t such a big star from the start as she had to work very hard over the years. She started in 2014 as the lass kicker in NXT as she was a great wrestler but didn’t get enough opportunities as the others, but her determination took her to places.
Becky Lynch is a classic example when you try hard and continue to perform at the highest level , then nothing can stop you. Becky Lynch is one of the pioneers of the Women’s revolution and one of the four Horsewomen . Let’s look at the different stages in the character evolution of Becky Lynch.
The Lass Kicker
Becky Lynch started in 2014 in NXT as the lass kicker and she was a happy go lucky girl and she was happy for the success of everyone. Charlotte Flair, Sasha banks and Bayley were the focus of NXT and Becky was at the back burner. She started gaining ground in 2015 when she was called up to the main roster abs she was still the lass kicker but she started getting more spotlight and started showing that she was an elite performer. In 2016, Becky had a great championship match at WrestleMania 32 and stole the show and she won the SmackDown women’s championship that year and was the star of SmackDown and till 2018 she was the lass kicker.
The Man
In 2018, Becky Lynch changed her character to the Man in late 2018, and the start of it happened by accident when Nia Jax punched Becky Lynch in the face and Becky started bleeding from the nose and thus started the reign of the Man. She rose to stardom instantly and she used her social media to raise her popularity and she started winning every match and the momentum rose so much that she won the 2018 Royal Rumble and her stature increased every day. She was in a rivalry with Ronda Rousey and this is where her persona cane through till WrestleMania and her promo work was incredible. WrestleMania came and on this night Becky Lynch became the biggest star of the industry as she won both the women’s championships .

The 400 day non stop title reign
After WrestleMania 35, the reign of Becky Lynch began and there was no looking back as she started having great matches with everyone and she started making new stars including Lavey Evans during her long title reign. She became better and better throughout the year and she was the biggest woman in the wrestling world and that was all because of her hard work and determination. She had a great rivalry with Asuka and they had amazing matches and at WrestleMania 36, she beat Shayna Baszler to retain her title but shortly after that she had to leave WWE to become a mom.
Big Time Becks
After a long layoff from the ring Becky Lynch returned to the ring at SummerSlam 2021 and won the SmackDown women’s championship from Bianca Belair in 26 seconds and after that she turned heel and became Big Time Becks and became an even better wrestler and her promo work got even better. She started acting against the fans and she loved every second of it. She had been champion in WWE for over 500 active days in WWE. And she’s not finished yet by any stretch so it will be interesting to see where it goes.
