Intercontinental Championship is established in 1979. The title has been held by some of the greatest wrestlers in the world like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Jeff Hardy and several others. It is perhaps the most prestigious title that the world of professional pro-wrestling has seen. The title has changed hands a total of 80 times.
Currently, Seth Rollins is the IC Champion in his first reign. He has proved to the world that he is a fighting Champion. To defeat him, would be an uphill task.

Mahal can very well be the next Intercontinental Champion. He is a highly entertaining player and is doing an excellent job as a villain. A feud between him and Rollins would be delightful to watch. 4. Bobby Roode
Bobby Roode has truckloads of achievements on his resume. He has been Champion all across the world. In WWE, he is a former NXT and a former United States Champion. Roode is highly entertaining with the microphone as well. He can defeat any wrestler on his day. Roode is currently on RAW, and can very well become the next Intercontinental Champion
If WWE books Seth Rollins and Bobby Roode in a match for the IC belt, it would very satisfying to watch. Both the players possess tremendous athleticism and would try to outsmart one another. If Roode can deliver his signature move upon Rollins, he can very well become the next Intercontinental Champion in WWE.
3. Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin is a gifted athlete that the WWE has at present. In WWE, he is a former United States Champion, winner of 2017 Money in the Bank Ladder match and also won in 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match. He is 6'8" tall and has crushed several players in WWE. His finishing move, 'end of days' is highly devastating and vicious as well.

Lashley recently returned to WWE after almost 10 years and seems more powerful than ever. He has toyed with players like Elias, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and the Miztourage. He is a powerhouse and has unbelievable strength. Lashley can literally crush Rollins and walk out with the IC Championship any day.
1. Braun Strowman
The biggest superstar and the darling of WWE, Braun Strowman is having a dream run in WWE. He has crushed and defeated almost every possible superstars in the locker room. He is a 'monster among men'. His strength is enormous and can body slam anybody.
Strowman is the winner of the Greatest Royal Rumble match and also a former RAW Tag Team Champion. He has displayed his enormous strength and has proven that he can single-handedly knock out his opponents. Though Strowman had encounters with Rollins before, they have not for the title.
