Indian Women’s cricket is ready to welcome the new and significant era with the beginning of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Five teams are ready to start the much-awaited WPL 2023 as the complete schedule of the inaugural edition of this tournament has been released.
In the WPL 2023, each team will play two round-robin matches against the other four participants. At the end of this League stage, while the top of the points table will directly advance to the competition's Final, the following two teams will compete in the Eliminator to take the other spot for the Final.
All 22 matches of the inaugural WPL have been shared between Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium.
On 4 March 2023, WPL 2023 will begin with the match between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians at DY Patil Stadium. Brabourne Stadium will host the last League Stage match between UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals on 21 March.
While DY Patil Stadium will host the Eliminator on 24 March, Brabourne Stadium will organize the WPL 2023 Final on 26 March.
