This is the first year of the WPL and the fans are very excited because the women are getting their due finally and are able to play for the best league in the world and all the top players in the world will be here and they are entertaining the fans and the fans who have come to the stadium want to see close matches so that they could feel the tension and the nerves and having thrilling matches is also a sign that the teams are equally balanced
90% of the matches so far have been one sided and that has resulted in some negativity as the fans are saying that some teams are not on the same level and by not having more close matches the number of viewers who watch the matches on the digital are far less as compared to a thriller so hopefully in the second part of the WPL there will be much more bangers and the fans get to enjoy terrific cricket and the value of the WPL goes up as everyone wants that and more opportunities for other female players
The non performance of RCB who are possibly the most popular team in the WPL has also hampered the engagement of the league as some of the best players in the world are playing for RCB and the fact that they are not doing well means the fans at home are not that interested in watching the matches and if RCB does well then it will be very beneficial for the whole league.
