Indian men’s indoor volleyball team recorded another stunning victory in the Round of 12 at the Asian Games 2022 to advance to the Quarterfinals.
In that Round of 12 of the men’s indoor volleyball event, it was the battle between the 73rd-ranked India and the 43rd-ranked Chinese Taipei, who won their third Asian Games bronze medal in the 2018 edition. India won the match by 3-0.

In that almost one-and-a-half-hour battle, the final scoreline of the game was 25-22, 25-22 and 25-21. Amit once again shined with 16 points, while Ashwal Rai collected 14 points. Also, the captain Vinit Kumar and Erin Varghese managed to claim 12 and 11 points, respectively.
In the Quarterfinals of the men’s indoor volleyball event at the Asian Games 2022, India will face the fifth-ranked team Japan on Sunday (September 24).
Earlier, India won both their Pool C games to secure the top position of the Pool. After thrashing Cambodia by 3-0, India stunned the 27th-ranked South Korea by 3-2.
Around 37 years ago, the Indian men’s indoor volleyball team won the last Asian Games medal with the bronze medal (1986). It was their third Asiad medal after the 1958 bronze and 1962 silver.
