The day India posted 36 the lowest test total ever India vs Australia 2020

There it is Australia has proved it once again why they are the most dangerous team to lock horns with in their own domain. The first two days of a match looked like the hosts was warming up before they showcase the skills they are known for “seam fast bowling” at its complete best from Pat Cummins and Josh Hazelwood who not only destroy the opposition but humiliated them the way they have wanted to and reminds the cricketing world of great Ricky Ponting Era days how Ponting team destroyed the opposition teams with Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee

After winning the limited overs cricket by 2-1 it was expected that under the presence of the Virat Kohli team India would put up a fight against the mighty Australian. With no Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma in playing XI of the first test match it was a one-sided contest but team India fought back after restricting the hosts at 191 runs in their first innings. In the first innings team India has scored 244 runs after winning the toss with only contribution from Virat kohli (74) who got run out which triggered the collapse but thanks to Ashwin who picked up 4 wickets and Umesh Yadav who picked up 3 wickets to provide team India vital lead of 53 runs in the first innings.

Team India began their second innings on day 2 evening and in a span just 18 balls Pat Cummins strikes to cleaned up the stumps of Prithivi Shaw who once again has failed to score and left the scoreboard look like 7/1 then night watchman Jasprit Bumrah (another wrong move by captain to send him as a night watchman) joined Mayank Aggarwal to ended the day with 9/1 with the lead of 62 runs in the second innings. The day of history when team India registered his name into the history books as the second team to score the lowest runs in an innings and it is first time in the last 65 years of cricket when the team has scored only 36 runs in an innings. The last time it happened was in a match against England when New Zealand had scored 26 runs at Auckland in 1955.

As team India wickets fall like ninepins against the top-notch seam fast bowling of Pat Cummins and Josh Hazelwood who have shared 9 Wickets to wrap up the second innings of team India. With a small target of 90 runs the hosts Australia started confidently in the second innings to register the win by 8 wickets and take 1-0 lead in the series. Till the first two days of a match it was almost equal contest among teams but day three has changed the course of a match completely and it is the first time when team India lost the match after the captain won the toss while in a day and night game it is a only second time when team trailing in the first innings won the match. The past records of team India says that if India has lost the first match of the series they ended up losing the team by the end of the tour.

The major changes will be witnessed from the second test match as Ajinkya Rahane will be captain of the side and some of major changes in the batting line-up will be possible. Shubham Gill is set to replace Prithivi Shaw as an opener while Rishabh Pant to possibly replace Saha as a wicket keeper batsman.
