He is the first American who reached the last four of a Grand Slam in 8 years after defeating the World no. 1 Andy Murray in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Wimbledon Championship. He has also defeated Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon Championship 2016 and reached the quarterfinals and ended his Grand Slam streak of four in a row.
