Novak Djokovic Career:
Making his grand slam debut in 2005, he performed well at Wimbledon and the US Open. Next year, he won his first ATP title at the Dutch Open and broke into the top 40 of the world rankings. In 2007, he stunned the tennis fans with a win against all the top three ranked players at the time - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Roddick - to win the Rogers Cup. In 2008, Djokovic broke into the top three with a win at the 2008 Australian Open. He also won a bronze medal in the same year. 2009 and 2010 were also successful for him before he became the world number one in 2011. That year, he won ten titles including Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. Djokovic's 2015 accomplishments contributed to what many consider as one of the greatest tennis seasons of all time. In addition to winning a bare majority of matches, Djokovic edged Nadal for the first time in the French Open to win all the four major slams that year. A season that was called a 'Nole Slam' by the fans and pundits alike.
2017 was somewhat disappointing for Djokovic, as he couldn't win a single grand slam with his two arch-rivals - Nadal and Federer - sharing the majors equally amongst them. In 2018, he changed the entire coaching staff and hired Andre Agassi as his new coach. Although he missed the majority of the season with an elbow injury, he claimed the top spot the following year and continued his dominance on the world stage. He is still undefeated in 2020.
