This is a topic that not a single Team India fan wanted to talk about because this is about replacing a player that cannot be replaced and someone who is so important to the team and is the best fast bowler in the world. This loss that has hit Team India will be felt greatly in the World Cup in Australia starting this month. Jasprit Bumrah is the glue that holds the bowling together and without him we are seeing how bad the bowlers are bowling, especially in the death overs.
There was hope that Jasprit Bumrah will be able to recover in time for the World Cup and that he will be able to play the knockout Matches if India reach that stage but yesterday BCCI formally announced that Jasprit Bumrah is out of the tournament and a replacement will be named soon. It was a body blow to India as their spearhead is out of the World Cup. However as they say the show must go on and in this article we will take a look as to who could be the likely replacement and we will discuss a few names.
Mohammad Shami
The first name that comes to mind is Mohammad Shami and I think he will be the one who will replace Bumrah because he is the only other one who is as experienced as Jasprit Bumrah and can bowl at the start of the Innings as well as the death overs of the Innings. Some people thought that he should have been in the 15 Member Squad for the World Cup but it looks like he will get his chance to shine but I am sure this is not how he wanted to come in the team. He has the chance to show that all the fans were right in demanding he should have been picked from the start.

Mohammad Siraj
The other name that is being talked about is Mohammad Siraj and he is also someone that is being looked at as a likely replacement. He might not be as experienced as Shami but he has young blood and is express fast which always helps and he is also a full effort Bowler meaning he will give his 100% everytime he gets into the pitch for a match. Mohammad Siraj would be a good pick and he will look to prove that he should have been selected sooner.
Deepak Chahar
This is someone that is showing currently that he should have been in the World Cup squad from the start and now that Jasprit Bumrah is out , the selectors can look at him and take him to Australia because he is the best slower ball Bowler and he is the best opening Bowler in the team. He can swing the ball both ways and in the big grounds in Australia he can be handy and he can bat as well so lower down the order he could Score some runs for India. He would be a good selection as well.
Umesh Yadav
The last fast bowler that we will talk about as a likely replacement for Jasprit Bumrah is Umesh Yadav. He is like Mohammad Shami as far as experience is concerned and he can turn up at any point of time and give match winning performances and he can swing the ball at extreme pace and he will be able to bounce in the pitches in Australia so he would also be a good pick.
