The exciting
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA just ended the
thrilling group stage, and it is now entering the crucial Super 8 stage. Here,
we will see the complete fixture of the Super 8 stage in the ICC Men’s T20
World Cup 2024.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is the first time 20 teams have participated. In the group stage, four groups had five teams each. It was an exciting group stage where we experienced some memorable matches.
ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024: Super 8
At the end
of the group stage, the top two teams of each group have advanced to the Super
8 stage. The Super 8 stage has two groups with four teams each. The
Super 8 groups have been sorted according to the pre-allotted positions of
every group (the top two ICC Full Members of each group were allotted positions
according to their ICC T20I rankings). At the same time, the unseeded teams replaced the
unqualified seeded teams in the Super 8 stage.
In the
Super 8 stage, no points have been carried over from the group stage.
At the end
of the Super 8 stage, the top two teams will qualify for the semi-finals. The
two semi-final winners will face off in the tournament final on 29 June 2024 at
Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. The winners of the final will lift the
trophy.
