On Day 5 at the Asian Games 2023, the Indian men’s 10m air pistol team won the gold medal. It was the sixth gold medal for India in the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2023.

On Thursday (September 28), Arjun Singh Cheema, Shiva Narwal, and Sarabjot Singh had impressive performances to secure India’s gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol team event.
While India had a total of 1734 (50x), the silver medalist China (1733-62x) and bronze medalist Vietnam (1730-59x) also had tight battles as India had one more point than China.
Talking about the individual performances, Sarabjot scored 580 (18x), Arjun scored 578 (19x), and Shiva finished with a total of 576 (13x).

However, there was no medal for India in the men’s 10m air pistol individual event, where Vietnam’s Quang Huy Pham (240.5), the Republic of Korea’s Wonho Lee (239.4), and Uzbekistan’s Vladimir Svechnikov (219.9) won the gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively.
In the individual event, Indian Sarabjot Singh finished in the fourth position with a score of 199. Another Indian Arjun Singh Cheema finished in the last spot in the eight-man final with a score of 113.3.
India’s sixth 19th Asiad gold medal was their fourth gold from shooting. Earlier, the men's 10m air rifle team, women's 25m air pistol team, and Sift Kaur Samra in the individual women's 50m rifle three positions won the shooting gold medals in the ongoing Asian Games.
Overall, the shooting has brought 13 medals for India, including four golds, four silvers, and five bronze medals.
