Professional wrestling is a sport that never stops as AEW which had All Out 2 weeks ago will hold another one of their traditional yearly PPVs in WrestleDream. The show will be held on 17th October 2026. There have been 7 Matches that have already been announced for the PPV.
Let's look at the Match Card for AEW WrestleDream 2026
Will Ospreay vs Samoa Joe vs Mike Bailey vs Darby Allin vs Kazuchika Okada vs Konosuke Takeshita vs Ricochet vs Adam Copeland in Clockwork Carnage Match for AEW World Championship
This is the most unique match stipulation that AEW has introduced in its history and it is equally confusing. This match has two stages where in the first stage all 8 wrestlers will enter the match in regular intervals and then it will become an Iron Man Match. Ospreay will have difficulty defending the title as the 7 others in the match against him are all the best of the best. If the match clicks then AEW will have a Goldmine like the NXT has found one in the Iron Survivor Match. The likes of Mike Bailey, Samoa Joe, Adam Copeland being in this match will bring different generations of Wrestlers under one roof. This will go for 45 minutes. Superstars will get eliminated in the first stage before all 8 wrestlers enter the match. Not everyone will go to the second stage where it becomes an Iron Man Match.
Mercedes Mone vs Thekla for AEW Women's Championship
This is a more traditional title match that will take place between two of the best women in AEW. Mercedes Mone recently won the AEW Women's Championship and she has no intentions of losing the title so quickly. Her opponent will be Thekla who was a dominant Women's Champion so she knows everything about winning title matches. Thekla will have the power advantage in this match but the experience advantage will go to the champion. This will be one of the best matches in the career of Thekla.
The Young Bucks vs The Don Callis Family for AEW Tag Team Championship
The Young Bucks have become true babyfaces and the fans absolutely love them. They are the tag team champions and they will defend the titles against two members of The Don Callis Family. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher will represent The Don Callis Family. This will be an extremely fast paced match and it could steal the show. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher have great tag team chemistry but they are not a match for the twins. AEW has the best tag team division in professional wrestling.
Jon Moxley vs Mark Davis for AEW Continental Championship
All of the 7 Marches announced for this show are titled Matches. This match will be for the AEW Continental Championship. Jon Moxley has been on a roll with just one loss against Will Osperay at All Out. He will defend the AEW Continental Championship against Mark Davis. Mark Davis is one of the fastest rising stars in the company. He will be a serious threat to Jon Moxley and his title. Jon Moxley and The Death Riders are very emotional these past few weeks with the loss of PAC or Benjamin Satterley.
Swerve Strickland and The New Level vs Adam Page and Brodido for AEW Trios Championship
The AEW Trios Championship will also be on the line as the champions Swerve Strickland and The New Level will take on a trio that is as star studded as them. Adam Page who is a former AEW World Champion will team with Brodido who are Brody King and Bandido. This match will be exceptional because these 6 men mesh very well together. AEW is lucky to have such a good Trios division as well which they have cultivated over the past 7 years.
The Brawling Birds vs Wrathlander for AEW Women's Tag Team Championship
There will be a second title match at this show which will feature the women. The AEW Women's Tag Team Championship will be on the line when The Brawling Birds which consist of Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor will face the team of Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander. Kris Statlander will be seen on an AEW PPV after months and so will Harley Cameron. This match needs time to be special and Tony Khan has to give them 15 minutes. The AEW Women's Tag Team Championship is one of the least important titles.
Andrade El Idolo vs Tomasso Ciampa for AEW National Championship
The AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo will face his toughest test yet as he will face Tomasso Ciampa for the title at this PPV. The AEW National Championship has seen a resurgence and this match will feature two former NXT Champions, perhaps two of the Top 7 NXT Wrestlers of all time. They know each other very well and they will have a special match. This show has all the makings of a classic even if the build has been lacklustre.
