AEW Revolution 2025 was one of the best AEW shows of the year so far. The show was held in Los Angeles CA in front of over 10,000 fans. The matches were great for the most part except for a few. There was blood spilled in this show and feuds were finished.
Let’s look at the Results for AEW Revolution 2025
Adam Page beat MJF
This was the first match of the show. It was a match between two of the main staff of the company. This match was 19 minutes of great professional wrestling. MJF dropped an F bomb before the match. Adam Page took a Tombstone Piledriver on the steel chair but kicked out. MJF took offense from Adam Page and after back and forth, Adam Page hit Angel’s Wings to MJF which hit him on the face. Adam Page won the match. MJF has taken a big loss and it would be interesting to see what he does next.
Mercedes Mone beat Momo Watanabe for AEW TBS Championship
This was the toughest challenge for Mercedes Mone in AEW. The crowd was not into it at the beginning of this match. These two women got physical very early. Momo Watanabe used her baseball background and hit the champion with a number of kicks which stunned the champion. Mercedes Mone did her trademark moves such as the Frog splash, The Meteora. This was a 19 minute match. Some spots were sloppy but it added to the realism of the contest. The crowd got into it in the later half of the match and Mercedes Mone retained her title.
Swerve Strickland beat Ricochet to become number 1 contender for AEW World Championship
This was the third match of the show and AEW Revolution went three for three in Banger matches. Ricochet was greeted by a chorus of boos which was a sign that he was doing great work. Swerve Strickland was frustrated with Ricochet so much that he mistakenly pushed his manager Prince Nana who left the match. This was an 18 minute match and Swerve Strickland hit a Vertebreaker on the announce table. Ricochet tried doing a low blow but Swerve saw that coming. Ricochet hit a Brain buster and a 630 Splash. Swerve Strickland won the match and is the number 1 contender for the AEW World Championship.
Kazuchika Okada beat Brody King for AEW Continental Championship
This was the first match on this card which was not great. This was Kazuchika Okada vs Brody King. Brody King had no chance of winning this match. These two men did not have the crowd cheering for them. Okada tried to win the match by hitting King with the Continental Championship but it was not enough for the three count. This was a 10 minute match. Okada will now focus on Double or Nothing which will be in May.
The Hurt Syndicate beat The Outrunners for AEW World Tag Team Championship
This should have been a squash match. The Hurt Syndicate are the best and most dominant tag team in the company. The Outrunners are a team that was over a year ago. This was an 8 minute match. Shelton Benjamin hit a devastating knee that is one of the best knee strikes in AEW. The Hurt Syndicate will have those tag team titles for a long time.
Toni Storm beat Mariah May for AEW Women’s Championship
This was one of the best women’s matches of the year so far. These women had 13 minutes and they absolutely tore the house down. Toni Storm vs Mariah May was promised as the end to this feud and the fans got exactly that. There was not a weapon that was spared in this match. They used glass, a shoe, steel chairs, tables, steps. This was a Falls Count Anywhere Match and Toni Storm hit Storm Zero on a table inspired by Hollywood and she won this blood feud. Then at the end The End was shown to depict the end of this rivalry. This was absolutely brilliant by the two women.
Kenny Omega beat Konosuke Takeshita for AEW International Championship
A 29 minute classic featuring the great Kenny Omega and the great Konosuke Takeshita. This match was another match of the year contender. Konosuke Takeshita targeted the area where Kenny Omega had surgery. Kenny Omega had to overcome obstacles. There was a great sequence where Kenny Omega hit the V Trigger on Konosuke Takeshita. He tried to hit the One Winged Angel but Konosuke Takeshita countered it. Konosuke Takeshita delivered multiple Suplexes to Kenny Omega. Kenny Omega won this barn burner and is the AEW International Champion.
Will Osperay beat Kyle Fletcher in a Steel Cage Match
This was another 29 minute match featuring the best wrestler in the world Will Osperay. This was the end of the feud against Kyle Fletcher. It was a Steel Cage Match. The two former friends battled it out. The weapons that were used in this match were Barbed Wire, Screwdrivers and Thumbtacks. A Spanish Fly from the top of the cage was the highlight of this match. There was blood in this match when Will Osperay bled and Kyle Fletcher with his white pants had that blood. Kyle Fletcher delivered a Brain buster on a Steel Chair which was nasty. Will Osperay hit a Tiger Driver to win the match.
Jon Moxley beat Cope and Christian for AEW World Championship
AEW Revolution was moving towards being an all timer of a PPV. This main event prevented it from being so. This was one of the worst main events to a big PPV in recent memory. These two men did not get out of first gear. The Death Riders storyline has been such a bore as was this match. Cope hit a DDT but Jon Moxley did not sell it and got up like nothing happened. There was a red bump and Wheeler Yuta took advantage of this. Christian Cafe tried to cash in his AEW contract for a championship match but he was also beaten by Jon Moxley. This was 26 minutes that nobody will get back. Swerve Strickland attacked Jon Moxley to end the show.
