Akshdeep Singh was born on 22nd November 1999. He is from Kahneke village in Punjab’s Barnala district. His father is a farmer. Akshdeep started racing to join the army, but he eventually became an athlete.

Later, during the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships 2024 in Antalya, Priyanka Goswami and Akshdeep Singh secured an Indian Paris 2024 Olympics quota for the marathon race walk mixed relay event by finishing in 18th place after clocking 3:05:03. This event will make its Summer Olympics debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where Priyanka Goswami will partner with Suraj Panwar in this event.
