During the 22nd match of the IPL 2025, Punjab Kings’ 24-year-old hero Priyansh Arya batted fearlessly and slammed a fiery century against Chennai Super Kings to set up a crucial 18-run win in Mullanpur on Tuesday night (8th April).
After Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer chose to bat first, Punjab Kings scored 219/6 in 20 overs. Although five of the top six batters failed to reach double-digit scores, opener Priyansh Arya was unstoppable and slammed a 39-ball century. He scored 103 runs off 42 balls before losing his wicket while he hit seven fours and nine sixes. He inspired middle-order batters Shashank Singh (52*) and Marco Jansen (34*), and they helped to set up a winning total, as CSK only managed to score 201/5 in reply.
