KKR vs KXIP in 2015
It was the first instance when IPL experienced a one-wicket win as the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders beat the last IPL runners-up Kings XI Punjab by one wicket with one ball to spare. Kolkata hosted the IPL 2015 match where KXIP scored 183/5 and Andre Russell’s powerful 51 off just 21 balls with five fours and four sixes helped KKR to chase down the target after losing nine wickets. When KKR lost their ninth wicket in the 19.4 overs as Piyush Chawla (18), the scores were level, and a leg bye on the fifth ball helped KKR to snatch a win.
CSK vs MI in 2018

In the IPL 2018 opener, Chennai Super Kings returned to the IPL after completing a two-year suspension and claimed a one-wicket victory against the defending champions Mumbai Indians. After the hosts MI scored 165/4 in 20 overs, CSK were losing wickets at regular intervals as they scored 118/8 in 16.3 overs. However, Dwayne Bravo’s brilliant 68 off 30 balls (three fours and seven sixes) helped CSK to return to the game. When Bravo was dismissed in the 19th over, CSK still needed seven runs in six balls and only one wicket in hand. The retired hurt Kedar Jadhav returned to the crease in the final over, and after three straight dot balls, he finished the game with a sixer and a four in the next two deliveries.
SRH vs MI in 2018
During the seventh game of the IPL 2018, the defending champions Mumbai Indians suffered another one-wicket defeat, and this time was against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After the hosts restricted MI to 147/8 in 20 overs, SRH had a 62-run opening partnership. But after the first wicket fall, they lost wickets at regular intervals. Although SRH were still in a strong position with 136/5 in 17.3 overs, the hosts suddenly fell to 137/9 in 19 overs as they lost four wickets for only one run in nine balls. SRH ultimately required 11 runs in the final over, where Deepak Hooda welcomed Ben Cutting with a sixer. The scores were tied, and SRH needed one run to win on the final ball, Billy Stanlake finished the thrilling game with a last-ball four.
LSG vs RCB in 2023

During the IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket in the final ball thriller. After RCB scored 212/2 in 20 overs in Bengaluru, LSG were losing wickets regularly as they were 105/5. While Marcus Stoinis was already out for 65 off 30 balls (six fours and five sixes), Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni fought hard to bring LSG back into the game. While Pooran smashed 62 off 19 balls (four fours and seven sixes), the impact player Badoni scored 30 off 24 balls with four fours. In the final over, LSG needed five off six balls with three wickets in hand. However, Harshal Patel brought RCB back in the game with two wickets, the last one or ninth one of the innings was on the fifth ball when the scores were level. The final ball was dramatic as Patel missed out on a run-out non-striker end batter and his throw at the stumps won’t count. In the next attempt, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik had a fumble and LSG added the match-winning single on the final ball through a bye.
DC vs LSG in 2025
It was the fourth match of the IPL 2025 where Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants started their tournament journey and Visakhapatnam hosted the match. After the Capitals chose to bowl first, LSG scored 209/8 in 20 overs. In reply, DC were once struggling at 65/5. While Tristan Stubbs later scored 34 off 22 balls (one four and three sixes), Vipraj Nigam smashed 39 off 15 balls (five fours and two sixes). However, the impact-sub Ashutosh Sharma was the ultimate hero for Delhi Capitals as his brave batting resulted in a one-wicket win for Delhi Capitals, who chased down the target in 19.3 overs after losing nine wickets. When the ninth wicket fell, DC needed 18 runs in the last nine balls. With a six and four in the last two balls of the 19th over, Sharma put the game in a comfortable equation for DC as they needed six runs in the last over. While Mohit Sharma took a single on the second ball, Sharma finished the game with a sixer on the third ball to snatch the game. The Player of the Match Ashutosh Sharma scored 66 not out off 31 balls with the help of five fours and five sixes.
