One of the most destructive batters in international cricket history, Chris Gayle, was the previous record-holder of the most IPL centuries by recording it six times. The Caribbean left-handed batter, however, strongly holds the record for most T20 hundreds by scoring it 22 times. Meanwhile, Gayle also holds the record for the highest individual score in the IPL or T20 cricket history with the 175 not out knock against Pune Warriors India in IPL 2013.
