Indian cricketer KL Rahul created a new IPL history last Wednesday (25th May) night when he completed his 600 runs in the IPL 2022.
Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) met Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator of the IPL 2022 at Kolkata last Wednesday night. While RCB scored 207/4 in 20 overs, majorly thanks to Rajat Patidar’s maiden IPL century (112*), LSG only scored 193/6 in 20 overs as this new IPL team failed to advance for the Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022.
The LSG skipper KL Rahul fought really hard in that game as the opener scored 79 runs off 58 balls (3 fours and 5 sixes) before Josh Hazlewood dismissed him in the 19th over.
During that innings, Rahul completed his 600 runs in this IPL season, as he finished the IPL 2022 with 616 runs in 15 games with an average of 51.33 and strike rate of 135.38 (2 centuries and 4 half-centuries). After Jos Buttler (718 runs for Rajasthan Royals), Rahul became the second batter to complete 600 runs in this IPL season.
It was not only the third consecutive IPL season for KL Rahul to score 600+ runs in an IPL season, but it was also the fourth time when Rahul crossed 600 runs in an IPL season.
