Jos Buttler equals Virat Kohli's 4 centuries record in an IPL season

English cricketer Jos Buttler is dominating the IPL 2022, as the leading run-scorer of the tournament hit another century for Rajasthan Royals (RR) to help them qualify for the final of this tournament. He became the only second cricketer, after Indian star Virat Kohli, to smash four centuries in a T20 competition.

In Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad last Friday (27th May) night. After RCB were restricted to 157/8 in 20 overs, RR chased down that target in 18.1 overs after losing three wickets, majorly thanks to the opener Buttler’s 106 not out off 60 balls (10 fours and 6 sixes).

The in-form Buttler hasn’t only completed his fourth century in IPL 2022, which was also his fifth IPL century and sixth T20 century, but he also crossed the 800-run mark in the IPL 2022 (824 runs). Here we are talking about some crucial stats of Jos Buttler after Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022.

Jos Buttler: 4 centuries in IPL 2022

• First foreign cricketer to score more than two centuries in an IPL season.

• Only second batter to hit four centuries in an IPL season. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was the first player to record four centuries in an IPL season when he was leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2016.

• Buttler also became the second cricketer, after Virat Kohli, to hit four centuries in a T20 competition.
