There were many players who were sold to the ten teams in the Two day mega auction which was held in Bangalore and a lot of lives were changed for the better this auction and everyone of them deserved whatever they got from the ten teams. However, not everyone was as lucky as there were many players who went unsold and some of them are IPL legends who deserved to get a contract out of sheer emotion but it was not to be.
Some of the players who went unsold were shocking and made the fans sad and some of them are players who are not attacking players or are out of form so they did not get the contract. So, let’s see some of the players who went unsold in the IPL mega auction this time
Suresh Raina:
Mr IPL Suresh Raina not getting an IPL deal is the most shocking unsold of the entire auction. He is one of the biggest legends in the history of the IPL and is one of the highest run scorers in the history of the IPL and a 400 run bank every season. The fans of the CSK team were imploring the team to get Chinna Thala back in the CSK team but sadly he found no takers in the end and it is the end of an era in IPL history.
Steve Smith:
Another player who went unsold is the great Steve Smith who is one of the premier players in world cricket but it just goes to show that reputation has no takers in the IPL and only performance and skills are the things that count and even though he is a great test match player but his T20 game is not so strong.

Shakib Al Hasan:
This was one of the most shocking snubs in the IPL mega auction this time as the team's let go off one of the greatest all rounders in the world and a few teams could have used him well but it seems they didn’t want him this time and it is their loss as he was a great player to let go.
Eoin Morgan:
The captain who took KKR to the final of the IPL 2021 went unsold and it should tell everybody what the IPL is all about as he did not get any runs in his batting and as KKR have found Shreyas Iyer so they did not need to go for Morgan this time around but still his going unsold is quite shocking.
Aaron Finch:
The winning captain of the 2021 World Cup went unsold, this sentence should not make sense but it is the reality and his form recently with the bat is the reason of him going unsold and all the teams has found their captains so that slot was also not available for him.
Ishant Sharma:
One of the shocking Indian players who went unsold in the mega auction this time around and if getting unsold once wasn’t enough, to bring him back in the accelerated auction later and still him going unsold is hard to digest and is utter disrespect to one of India’s premier fast bowlers and it is very surprising indeed.
Tabraiz Shamsi:
The number 1 Bowler in the world in the T20I format went unsold, this is si surprising as almost all the teams could have used him well and he would have been a great addition to the teams but they ignored him and it is the loss of the teams in the end. IPL auctions throw up lots of surprises and this was one of them.
