As the Tata IPL 2022 season is nearing and only 9 days are left for the first ball to be bowled in the IPL season, we thought that lets look at the captains of the 10 teams and tell our readers who might be fans of different IPL teams the full squads of the teams. The captains list this year features some very experienced captains, some that are little less experienced and there are some where this is their first stint as captain. It will be very interesting to see who comes out on top.
The range of the captains in the IPL this year is staggering as the oldest captain in the league is 40 years old and the youngest is 24 years which means a 16 year age gap and experience gap is huge as well.
Ravindra Jadeja – Chennai Super Kings
Ravindra Jadeja and CSK are a marriage made in heaven. He is now handed over the captaincy of CSK by MS Dhoni. He has played 200 IPL matches till now and the CSK fans will expect the title from him. It will be interesting to see how he performs under this new role.

Rohit Sharma – Mumbai Indians
The most successful captain in the history of the IPL is back again to lead the Mumbai Indians team after a year in 2021 which they would like to forget ever happened as they did not even reach the semi finals. Rohit Sharma would look to win his 6th IPL trophy as captain and give the fans of Mumbai another year of celebration.

Faf Du Plessis – Royal Challengers Bangalore
The RCB franchise took their time to announce their Captain for the upcoming season and the rumors were that it will be Faf Du Plessis and it turned out to be him. This is the first time that Faf will Captain an IPL side and his team has Virat Kohli in it as well. It will be a new challenge for him and he will look to do well for his new team.
Kane Williamson – Sunrisers Hyderabad
Kane Williamson is back and ready to lead the Sunrisers Hyderabad team after the disaster of a season that they had last year and he will look to get things right this year and he will also be coming back after a long injury break so he will look to make an immediate impact.
Mayank Agarwal – Punjab Kings
This is the nth new captain that the Punjab team have appointed before the start of a new season so Mayank Agarwal will be challenged in this role and the team this year is very good for Punjab so he will look to get the first title for the Punjab fans.

Hardik Pandya – Gujarat Titans
This is a very interesting choice that the Gujarat team made as it will be the first ever time that Hardik has had such a big responsibility on his shoulders and his Fitness is also a cause for concern and if he is bowling then he can be a real game changer. He will look to create a great impression of this Gujarat team in their first season.
KL Rahul – Lucknow Supergiants
It was looking likely since the beginning that KL Rahul will be the captain of the Lucknow franchise and he is their skipper and after coming from Punjab Kings where he was unable to freely express himself, here he will look to take this good Lucknow team to their first IPL title.
Shreyas Iyer – Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR have found a great young captain who can be their leader for a long time in Shreyas Iyer and he will be a fantastic leader as he has shown in the time he was at Delhi Capitals and he will look to lead the KKR team to their third IPL title and s kre lots of runs in the process.

He is the youngest captain in the league and yet he is one of the biggest stars in the league and the Delhi team is very good like the previous seasons and Rishabh Pant will look to take them one step further and win the title for the Delhi franchise.
