The all-time great and once in a blue moon player Dale Steyn has said cricket has far better from the corridor of uncertainties and more rewarding when it comes to PSL than from the tournament like IPL (Cash-Rich-League). Steyn has been very clear about his choices when it comes to IPL over the other leagues in the world and revealed why he is more likely to not be part of IPL 2021.
In the PSL, Dale Steyn is the part of Quetta Gladiators and in the recent conversation with cricket Pakistan believed that in IPL there is more priority to money over the spirit of the game.
“I wanted some time off. I found that playing in these other leagues was slightly more rewarding as a player. I think when you go to IPL, there are such big squads and so many big names and so much emphasis on maybe the amount of money players earn and everything like that, so sometimes, somewhere down the line, cricket gets forgotten," said Dale Steyn
In his IPL, Dale Steyn has taken 95 wickets in the 97 matches he played for different franchises in the tournament. But most of the time Steyn was dealing with injuries over the course of the tournament history which in result couldn't justify the talent he actually had! Even in the last few seasons he was featured in 5-6 games only for his franchise. While in the last year playing for RCB, Steyn only played three games and ruled out of the tournament due to shoulder injury. As per the current news he is still likely to not play the IPL 2021.

Dale Steyn further added that towards the last phase of his career, he wants to enjoy this game more as possible as I can for the teams and tournaments are more worth it. Steyn believed that the tournaments like PSL and Sri Lanka Premier League are more rewarding.
“When you come to like the PSL or the Sri Lankan Premier League, for that matter, there is an importance to cricket. I have only been here for a couple of days and I have had people in and out of my room, just wanting to know about where I have played and how I went about it."

At last Dale Steyn has said -
"Whereas, when I go to something like the IPL that gets forgotten and the main topic is how much money did you go for in this IPL? That’s just me being brutally honest.
