After three medals in men’s rowing events on day 1 at the Asian Games 2022, India added two more bronze medals to tally from the men’s rowing on the second day at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou (China). On Monday (September 25), India won bronze medals in the Men’s Coxless Four and Men’s Quadruple Sculls events.
Asian Games 2023: Rowing (Men’s Coxless Four) – India won bronze medal
Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, and Ashish were the four members of the Indian Men’s Coxless Four team that won the bronze on day 2 of the Asian Games 2022. After Uzbekistan (6:04.96) and China (6:10.04), India was the third finisher in that event.
Asian Games 2023: Rowing (Men’s Quadruple Sculls) – India won bronze medal
India’s other rowing medal of the day came from the Men’s Quadruple Sculls event, where Satnam Singh, Parminder Singh, Jakar Khan, and Sukhmeet Singh were the team members. In this event, China won the gold medal (6:02.65) and Uzbekistan clinched the silver medal (6:04.64), while India managed the podium finish with a timing of 6:08.61.
At the Asian Games 2022, India won a total of five medals in the rowing events, their joint-most rowing medals in an edition of the Asian Games. In the 2010 edition in Guangzhou (China), India won five medals in rowing, including one gold, three silver, and one bronze.
Although India didn’t win gold in rowing events at the Asian Games 2022, the country recorded two silver medals and three bronze medals.
