The I-League was the top-tier league of Indian men’s club football for 16 years since it began in 2007, succeeding the national league, now behaving as the second division from the 2022-23 season. Despite the challenges, the competition has held a legacy in India's football history giving the platform for modern heroes to arrive at national team level and setting up some remarkable records. A total of ten clubs have been crowned champions of the league with six managing to win it more than once. The I-League has also produced remarkable strikers over decades lighting up the stage with their cracking strikes. It has claimed the tag to be a highly competitive league, often unpredictable and rarely dominated by one team. We look at the records set in the 18 years of I-League.
