Let’s look at the Results of the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023
Race Results
The race started and Max Verstappen got the lead from Charles Leclerc but it was not a proper lead as he had forced his opponent off the track. This was raised by Charles Leclerc and as a result Max Verstappen was handed a 5 second Penalty due to which he lost the lead in the first lap. There were safety cars as Lando Norris was out of the race and the drivers pitted and changed their tyres. The race restarted and Charles Leclerc got the perfect start ahead of Sergio Perez and he was ahead in the Grand Prix. After this it was a wild race as Max Verstappen yet again got in the lead and he did not give up the lead this time and showed the tens of thousands of fans that had come that who is the best in the world.
Max Verstappen was not pleased with the track and he made his views known to everyone but still he was so dominant and Sergio Perez finished in third place in the race which helped him keep his place for the Red Bull seat next year. Charles Leclerc finished 2nd in this entertaining race after ruling the first 2 days of the race in Qualifying as well as the practice. Sergio Perez was in second place Throughout the race but in the last lap Charles Leclerc overtook him and got P2 which he deserved. Esteban Ocon had the race of his life as he finished 4th place and there is no doubt that Las Vegas has become his favorite circuit of the year. It was a day to remember for Lance Stroll as well who has had a string of poor races as he finished in P5 and he gave Aston Martin valuable points from this race.
It was not a particularly good day in the track for the 3 great drivers in the track as Carlos Sainz of Ferrari finished in P6 and Lewis Hamilton and George Russell of Mercedes finished in P7 and P8 respectively which means that Mercedes has a horrible day in Las Vegas and this has been a pattern for them this year. The last 2 positions which had points for them were taken by Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin and Oscar Piastri of McClaren who had a poor race after some good races before this. Overall it was a race that saw a lot of places changing and a lot of surprising places in the Top 10 and the drivers who generally have bad days had their best day in Las Vegas. There were 3 Drivers who were not able to finish the race and those were Yuki Tsonuda of AlphaTauri, Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lando Norris of McClaren and this was the most shocking one. The drivers must have learnt a lot about the Las Vegas circuit and next year everyone will be better than they were this year.
