Just two years after England was crowned Euro 2022 champions, the quest for the next edition begins with the qualifiers on Friday, 5 April 2024. 51 out of 55 UEFA-affiliated teams have made entry into the qualifiers in the hope of being the final 16 teams advancing to the main tournament next year. The Euro 2025 will be hosted in Switzerland from 2-27 July 2025. The format of the qualifiers has been the same as that of the UEFA Women’s Nations League with teams divided into leagues.
League A will consist of 16 teams paired into groups from A1 to A4. The top two teams from each of the League A groups will automatically qualify for Euro 2025. Teams finishing in third and fourth will enter the play-offs alongside sides from League B and C to decide the remaining eight teams going into Euro 2025. The rankings are also decided by the team’s performance in the Women’s Nations League. The qualifiers will run until Tuesday, 16 July 2024.
