Considered by many to be the most difficult league in the world, the British Premier League’s current 2021-2022 season is proving to be a nail-biting experience for fans expecting their time to either lift the cup or qualify for the Champions League.
Early in the season, Manchester City held an impressive lead at the league's top. However, both Chelsea and Liverpool are making an impressive late run to steal the title from under Manchester City’s noses.
At the moment, Liverpool seems to be the team to successfully deny Pep Guardiola his chance at adding a fourth title in five seasons to his name and replace Man City at the top of the table.
While the top spot on the table is not the only hotly contested position, it seems to be quite the battle for the converted fourth position as Arsenal, Manchester United, the Wolves, West Ham, and Tottenham are all fightings to qualify for this year's Champions League placement.
Premier League title race
This season's title race puts Manchester City in the top position with Liverpool only six points behind and a game in hand. For The Reds to potentially overtake Man City, they will need to win their next battle with Man City on the 10th of April.
Chelsea is currently 16 points behind Man City and has 1-2 games in hand. They have been given a less than one percent chance of winning the title compared to Liverpool’s 21 percent and Man City’s 79 percent chance to win the title. The current Top 10 standings are below;

Race for the Top Four Spots and The Champions League
With only four spots available for entry to the Champions League, the Premier League’s top four spots are always a hotly contested battle. The current closely contested battle for the 4th spot is between five teams and is drawing international attention from football fans worldwide.
Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham, Wolves, and Tottenham are all vying for the fourth spot. However, sportsbook sites like bet365, Unibet, and other betting sites in Australia currently place Arsenal as the favorites to cliched the fourth spot within the PL and qualify for the Champions League.
Red Devil fans will be disappointed with their team as they recently lost to rivals Manchester City in the Manchester derby, resulting in the Red Devils' chances of overtaking Arsenal less likely.
To make matters worse, the Spurs are quickly closing the gap within the standings after defeating Everton and currently have two games in hand. Both Man United and Tottenham are set to face each other on the 12th of March. The derby winner will dictate the future of both these teams' chances at qualifying for the Champions League.
While teams may only have till the 23rd of May to gain a spot in the Champions League, both managers and fans alike will be left sitting on the edge of their seats, waiting to see which teams enter the Champions League.
