With a long history of championships and legends, Manchester United is one of the most successful and well-liked football teams in the world. Since Erik ten Hag took over for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2022, they have undergone a makeover. In 2023, the Dutch manager guided United to their first trophy in six years—the Carabao Cup—and helped them finish in the top four of the Premier League.
To compete with their competitors and attempt to win additional championships, Ten Hag and his squad will need to focus on the 2023–24 season.
We'll look at Manchester United's whole roster for the 2023–24 season in this blog article, along with their anticipated starting lineup and formation.
Manchester United Full Squad 2023/24
Rasmus Højlund, Mason Mount, André Onana, and Jonny Evans were all acquired by Manchester United during the summer 2023 transfer window from Atalanta, Chelsea, Inter, and Leicester, respectively. Hjlund is a talented forward who scored 45 goals in 38 appearances for Serie A last year. Mount has been an important player for England and is a dynamic midfielder who can play in a variety of positions. World-class goalkeeper Onana takes David De Gea's place after the 12-year veteran departed the team. Evans, a former United player, comes back to add depth and experience to the defense.
The majority of the club's important players from the previous season were also kept; only Anthony Martial and Alex Telles left for an unidentified club. Young athletes like Hannibal Mejbri, Shola Shoretire, and Alejandro Garnacho might fill the vacancy left by the losses of Telles and Martial.
Numerous players, including Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, and Raphael Varane, have had their contracts extended by the team. The latter was among the better acquisitions of the 2021–22 campaign, forging a strong defensive tandem with Maguire.

Manchester United Predicted Lineup and Formation 2023/24
Ten Hag is recognized for his aggressive and appealing style of play, frequently employing a 4-2-3-1 structure that encourages player expression and the creation of opportunities. André Onana, who has great reflexes and distribution, is the new number one goalkeeper in this setup. Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire, who are in front of him, create a strong defensive pairing, while Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka provide stability and balance on the wings.
Casemiro is the anchor in the middle of the field, protecting the defense and stopping assaults from the opponent. Mason Mount, his companion, brings both inventiveness and dynamism to the relationship. With Bruno Fernandes, the team's primary playmaker, lining up as an attacking midfielder behind the striker, Mount may easily switch places with him.
Rasmus Hojlund is the line-leader during an assault because of his precise finishing and mobility. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, who both possess speed, dribbling ability, and a threat to score goals, complement him on the flanks. Sancho and Rashford may also cut inside or switch sides to make room for themselves or their teammates.
