Ligue 1 Player of the Year – Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain)
PSG’s French footballer Kylian Mbappe won the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award for the 2021/22 season. It was the third successive time Mbappe won this award. He ended this season with 28 goals and 17 assists as he finished in the best positions in both those lists.
Ligue 1 Coach of the Year – Bruno Genesio (Rennes)
Rennes manager Bruno Genesio won the Ligue 1 Coach of the Year award. He guided the club to finish in the fourth position in the points table this season and qualify for the next UEFA Europa League Group Stage.
Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year – William Saliba (Olympique de Marseille)
The 21-year-old Marseille’s French center-back William Saliba won the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award. He is serving this French club on loan from the English Premier League club Arsenal.
Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year – Gianluigi Donnarumma (Paris Saint-Germain)
PSG’s Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma won the Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year award. Despite playing 16 games in this competition, where he managed to achieve five clean sheets, Donnarumma managed to beat the top goalkeepers for this award.
Ligue 1 Goal of the Year – Bamba Dieng (Olympique de Marseille vs RC Strasbourg on 12th December 2021)
Marseille’s Senegalese forward Bamba Dieng won the Goal of the Year award of this Ligue 1 season for his incredible goal after successfully managing a bicycle kick against the host RC Strasbourg on 12th December 2021. His goal helped the visitors to take a 1-0 lead in 62 minutes of the game.
