Bruno Fernandes has been the best since he arrived at Old Trafford in January, and it doesn’t take a football genius to see his class. He has been prolific throughout and he doesn’t seem to stop. Now, even statistics have shown whose current contribution for Manchester United is head and shoulders above those of his teammates.

We have enlisted figures for accurate passes, accurate longballs, pass success %, chances created, shots, tackles won, goals, assists etc.

Stats:

Joint Most Goals [11]

Most Assists [6]

Avg progressive passes [54.4]

Avg accurate passes [38.2]

Avg accurate long balls [3.7]

Pass Success % [76.9]

Avg chances created [3]

Avg shots [2.9]

Avg tackles won [1.9]

Avg Long Balls Per Game [3.7]

Avg Key Passes Per Game [3]

Even though most of the statistics here are wonderful, it is the tackles, that is arguably one of the most impressive. Playing as an attacking midfielder or number 10, to have registered such a high avg tackles won rate – ahead of most of the defenders and defensive midfielders – is an astonishing statistic.

The Portugal international clearly makes United click – his arrival proved the catalyst for Champions League qualification last season, and he made the difference yet again in their 3-1 win over West Ham.

The lad has also scored 11 goals from 13 starts for United, which is a wonder in itself, as the team is not playing good at all. These moments of brilliance are the things keeping United in the race and back in the top 4 after last night’s comeback against the mighty West Ham. Speaking of Premier League, The Red Devils averaged just 1.41 points per Premier League game last season before he joined Sporting Lisbon. That average improved to 2.29 points per game after his arrival.

Adding on, one metric that most aptly illuminates Fernandes' paramount importance to United's development is the club's points-per-game ratio since his debut, which is marginally superior to the current Premier League title holders Liverpool! According to an in-depth research article on the 26-year-old playmaker, United have picked up a division-high 2.09 points per game since his debut, edging Liverpool (2.08) and local rivals Manchester City (1.96) into top spot. All of this has been for the Portuguese playmaker, who has been at the heart of everything good that has happened for United.

Also, since his debut, Fernandes has amassed 35 goal contributions (G+A) and nobody even comes close in that segment as well.
