Real Madrid has been struggling this season. The reigning European champions are placed fourth in La Liga, five points behind their biggest rivals Barcelona. With the departure of Zidane and their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, there has been a void. With the sacking of Julen Lopetegui after the 5-1 defeat from Barcelona, Solari was appointed the head coach and has produced mixed results. Real Madrid can sign the following players in the winter transfer window.
Brahim Diaz
The 19 year old Manchester City midfielder has been linked heavily with a move to Spanish capital. The youngster has scored two goals in three appearances for the premier league champions this season. However, the city boss is determined to get Diaz sign a contract extension. Looking at the Madrid’s new policy of developing young players instead of buying ‘Galacticos’ in the recent years, the spaniard could very well be heading to Real Madrid.
Eden Hazard
The Belgian forward has expressed his desire to join the Spanish side on multiple occasions having even said that it’s his ‘dream’ to play in Real Madrid. With the departure of Ronaldo, Madrid’s left wing need a player of his calibre. He will have only one year left in his contract with Chelsea in summer 2019.The Madrid side could also try to bring him in January. He has scored 8 goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea this season.
Mario Hermoso
Real Madrid have had defensive problems. Even with Sergio Ramos and Varane at the back, they have conceded 19 goals in 16 league games and the club has been impressed by Hermoso’s performances at Espanyol. Hermoso has also played for Real Madrid’ youth team and the Madrid side could activate his buy back clause.Though Madrid’s interest has gone cold on Hermoso but looking at Real’s defence worries, we could see him playing for the Spanish capital again.
Exequiel Palacios
The River Plate midfielder could very well be on his way to Real Madrid with marca reporting that Exequiel Palacios could be the first January signing of the los blancos. The 20 year old have already won the Copa Libertadores at the Santiago bernabeu. Real Madrid is facing competition for the signing of the Argentine from clubs like Inter.
Mohamed Mizzian
According to Marca, Real Madrid has already secured the signing of Mohamed Mizzian, a player from Mellila and will be unveiled in January. It has been speculated that the 18 year old will start in Real Madrid’s youth team. Marca have also reported that he has passed his medical.
