However, Manolo Marquez’s side is proving to be a different beast this season and it will be an upset if the visitors do not bag a victory in this clash. The Highlanders have also picked just two wins at Guwahati this season and have kept only one clean sheet so far which could ring alarm bells.
FC Goa ripped apart Mohun Bagan in the Salt Lake Stadium with a 4-1 victory to become the only team to stay unbeaten in the ISL this season so far with Mumbai City FC losing their streak against current leaders Kerala Blasters. Their five straight clean sheet record might have come to an end but the Gaurs will be happy to return to winning ways after a 0-0 draw with the Islanders. Noah Sadaoui scored a first-half brace and could have completed his hat-trick if Vishal Kaith threw his body to the effort. Victor Rodriguez’s strike after a great combination with ex-Mariner Carl McGugh and a late Carlos Martinez Penalty sealed Goa’s seventh win of nine games played this season. Unfortunately, Rodriguez was carried off the field with a knee injury and he is set to miss the rest of the season. So, Martinez will have to fill the striker void which is the only issue troubling the side at the moment.
