Marco Silva’s men suffered a late 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last weekend while Spurs’ two-goal lead in the first half was snapped by Manchester City in the 4-2 loss.

Fulham sits seventh on the table in a remarkable campaign so far and just two points off a Europa League place which is held by Tottenham Hotspurs at the moment. They welcome them on Monday at Craven Cottage. With the other contender, Brighton and Hove Albion dropping points against Leicester, these two meet in a straight battle for the spot. With murmuring going around about manager Antonio Conte’s future after the Italian seems to be unhappy enough not to extend his 18-month contract at the club, Spurs have made their condition extremely difficult to please him. Lack of effective signing, injuries or even maybe the loss of a close friend indicate Conte not loving the project he once did while taking the hot seat in 2021. For now, his players have to step up their performance to avoid a third consecutive defeat in the league and restore winning habits badly needed to stay in the top-four chase. Three points are of utmost importance against Fulham as Spurs once again knock on the door of Manchester City next month.
