FPL Gameweek 34 Captaincy choices and Differential Picks

With the Gameweek 34 deadline nearing closer, the FPL managers are looking to set their team in the best possible way. With a limited number of gameweeks remaining, it is necessary to make the right transfers and captain choices to jump in rankings.

Here are the Captaincy choices for FPL gameweek 34:

1) Mohammed Salah vs Everton (H)

The Egyptian looks to have shrugged off his recent goal drought after a brace against Manchester United. Salah looked at his best, scoring twice and assisting once in the 4-0 drabbing.

With his mojo back, Salah will be looking to continue the same when they face Everton in the Merseyside derby. The game against Everton, who are battling relegation and are poor defensively makes Salah an excellent captain choice in FPL for this week.

2) Mason Mount vs West Ham (H), Manchester United (H)

The young English star has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season. One of the first names on the sheet, Mount has been consistent throughout the season.

In Gameweek 34, Chelsea face West Ham and Manchester United in a decent double gameweek fixtures. The midfielder has scored and assisted twice in the last 2 games for a return of 23 points which makes him a good captaincy choice.

3) Joao Cancelo vs Watford (H)

Cancelo and Co. face Watford in gameweek 34, in what should be an easy fixture on paper for Manchester City. Having kept a clean sheet in the last 3 of their 4 matches, makes a strong case for captaining him.

Cancelo as a differential captain could be the way to go if one needs to make up for the lost grounds in their FPL mini league.

Differential picks for Gameweek 33 :

1) Timo Werner (4.4% ownership) – West Ham (H), Manchester United (H)

The German international has started to slowly make his mark in the Chelsea side after a slow start to the season. In the last 2 Premier League games, Werner has scored thrice and assisted once.

With the double that Chelsea has, Werner could be the differential from the Blues’ side. A punt on Werner is not a bad option considering the lack of decent forward options in FPL right now. Owned by only 4.4% of FPL managers, Werner could be in for a haul.

2) Sadio Mane (4.2% ownership) –Everton (H)

Although it is strange to have a player of such high price a differential, Mane is only owned by 3.6% of FPL managers. Recently, Mane has been playing more centrally in the ‘9’ role which makes a strong case for his inclusion as a differential.

The Senegalese has returned 20 points in his last 2 games which included 2 goals and 1 assist. The game against Everton is expected to be high-scoring and Mane could turn out to be a great differential.

3) Marcos Alonso (9.8% ownership) – West Ham (H), Manchester United (H)

The Spanish International has started the last 3 games of Chelsea and with Chilwell still out, he looks to be a nailed option. Although there are concerns of rotation, Alonso has been a decent performer at LB who should keep his place at least for this week.

With the ownership of 9.8%, Alonso could be a great differential more so because Chelsea plays twice.
