As we near the last gameweeks of the season, it is very important in FPL to make the right choices and use your chips at the right time in order to have a green arrow. Your captaincy choices and differential picks will decide the rank you end up on at the end of the season.
Here we are the with the captaincy choices for gameweek 32:
1) Son Heung-Min – Aston Villa (A)
The midfielder has returned a haul of 27 points in his last 2 gameweeks which included 3 goals and an assist. In a gameweek, where Liverpool and Manchester City face off, it would be ideal to stay away from the likes of Salah and go differential. Son is also owned less as compared to Kane in the top 100k.
Captaining Son against a Villa side on a slump could be a choice worth making.
2) Harry Kane – Aston Villa (A)
Arguably the best player to own right now in the game, Harry Kane is the favourite captain candidate this week owing to Salah playing against City.
The forward has not blanked in his last 4 games and a match against Villa will only extend that run. When it comes to away stats, Kane edges Son and hence he is the go-to captain for the week.
3) Raphinha – Watford (A)
If one wants to go differential this week then Raphinha could be a great punt for the week. Facing a relegation-threatened Watford side, Leeds could fancy their chances for a win under their new manager.
Raphinha has managed 2 assists in his last 3 games, but he has contributed more than that to the game when one considers the eye-test. This is an outside captaincy choice for those who are desperate to chase ranks.
Differential picks for Gameweek 32 :
1) Fabian Schar (2.1% ownership) – Wolves (H)
Newcastle have enjoyed a resurgence of their own in the turn of the year and Schar has played a key role in it. Priced at only 4.3m, Schar has scored twice and assisted once in last 6 games which is a great return for a player at that price in FPL.
Currently owned by only 2.1% of FPL managers, Schar could be a great pick for this week against Wolves and the week ahead where Newcastle plays twice. Wolves are not the most attacking of sides, which helps Schar’s cause
2) Maxwell Cornet (1.1% ownership) – Norwich (A)
Burnley had a great result in their last match against Everton where they came back to win 3-2, courtesy of Cornet. The midfielder returned a haul of 13 points and could replicate it this gameweek when they face Norwich.
Burnley have a decent fixture against Norwich followed by a double next week, which could prove to be a great time to own Cornet. Selected by only 1.1% of FPL Managers, Cornet could prove to be an able differential at least for the next 2 weeks.
3) Kelechi Iheanacho (3.4% ownership) – Leicester (H)
The Nigerian forward has been leading the line for Leicester in the absence of Jamie Vardy and scored against Manchester United last week. Leicester has a decent fixture run-in till Gameweek 38, with doubles to follow. Iheanacho owned by only 3.4% FPL managers could be the forward to own at a time where there are lack of decent options.
