Spain secured qualification to the Nations League Finals for the third consecutive edition with a 3-0 hammering of Serbia at home, adding to their magnificent Euro Championship triumph in the summer. This was their 12th victory in 14 matches this year with the side now aiming for another one to take the first place in their group. Also the holders of the competition, La Roja would like to be the first side to defend the trophy successfully hoping to maintain their unbeaten streak in competitive fixture since their Euro qualifier defeat to Scotland in March 2023. A draw in the away match against second-place Denmark will be enough to seal the top spot but Luis de la Fuente's side only has three points in mind. Martin Zubimendi scored the only goal in the 1-0 win in the reverse clash with Spain looking to extend their winning run against their Friday opponent to six games with less pressure working on them this time.
