After what feels like an eternity, the Premier League is back. Things are getting a little tricky and unpredictable as a lot of big names are suffering from injury including the highly sought-after Kevin De Bruyne, Mane’ and Aubameyang. Players will have to keep their cool and think critically in order to score decent points this week. The 6-1 and 7-2 scores of the previous gameweek also serve to complicate things.

Here are the best fantasy premier league picks for the coming gameweek:

#1. Jack Grealish (MID;Aston Villa)

He was the hero in Aston Villa’s historic 7-2 win against Liverpool. He was brilliant last season and he seems to continue the trend this season as well. Aston Villa is up against Leicester who are far from pushovers but if there’s anyone you can count on to rack up some points against a difficult opponent, Grealish is your man. He has yet to have a game where he scores 2 points or below. He goes for only 7.1 as well. Too many factors in favour of him.

#2. Christian Pulisic (MID;Chelsea)

Pulisic is set to have his first start and looking at Chelsea’s form in the last game and their tactics getting smoother, he could prove to be an extremely promising buy. He did very well last season despite the limited no. of matches. He often leads the attack for Chelsea and is no stranger to scoring or assisting. There is just a lot in favour for this Chelsea attacker especially when he goes for 8.3

#3. Neal Maupay (FWD; Brighton)

Maupay has been doing very well so far. He’s up against Crystal Palace and while they can tend to clutch games, his track record has been superb so far. He’s had only one match where he scored 2 or less. He’s only going to 6.6. All these factors considered, Maupay could be that value for money pick that helps you turn the tide in FPL.

#4. Patrick Bamford (FWD; Leeds)

The Englishman from Leeds has been making some waves in the Premier League and this is reflected in FPL as well. He’s scored 30 points so far. Leeds will face Wolves so that might be something to consider as well but given the track record, he could prove to be handy for the coming gameweek. And at 5.8 there’s very little to complain about.

#5. Matt Ryan ( GK; Brighton)

A bit of a risky pick but Ryan has had to face a string of difficult opponents. This time, he’s up against the relatively less challenging Crystal Palace. Even though they have Zaha, Palace are far from incapable of a clean sheet. Ryan himself does fairly well on goal so he could be able to score decent points in the game.
