Jorge Jesus’ side will want to acquire the first silverware of the campaign in the form of the Super Cup but city rivals Al-Nassr stand in their way. However, it will be an uphill task as Al-Hilal has already taken a 12-point lead at the top with a better head-to-head record. So, the Knights of Najd are willing to beat their rivals in this competition to get some redemption. Al-Nassr needed a stoppage-time goal from centre-back Aymeric Laporte to clinch a win over Damnac FC in the last league games just days ago and are expecting a tough fight again on Monday. Their last victory in a competitive Riyadh derby came back in December 2021, a record they will be desperate to change.
