The 26 men squad for Hungary was announced on the final submission day of the Euros, June 1st from the initial provisional list. Hungary moves into this tournament to spring a surprise like in 2016. They have to do without the impressive or the wonder kid of the nation, Dominik Szoboszlai missing out through injury problems.
Hungary UEFA Euro 2020 Squad :

Key Player: Peter Gulasci
Dominik would have given a lot of unrest to oppositions because of his insane creativity, goal scoring exploits and glowing talent. In his absence, his teammate at his new club RB Leipzig will be pushing his team up by guarding Hungary's fort. We are talking about Peter Gulasci. The glove-man enjoyed another good season with the Bundesliga outfit and will be wishing his glowing form carry on to the Euros. Even with Szoboszlai in the team, Peter's saves will be mammoth for the side belonging in the 'group of death'. That's right. Hungary are paired with France, Germany and defending champions Portugal in one group. Hence, Gulasci's contribution has to be massive for the team.

Strength & Weakness :
The strength for Hungary is their system. They play with a three-center back capable of launching accurate long balls toward Szalai or Sallai, both good in the air. Szalai is also effective in the final third in pairing with his teammate and getting inside the box. Sallai does the same. Wing-backs use their flanks very well and provide additional attacking output. Willi Orban is the star center back in the backline good with the ball and keeping attackers at bay. He is supported by Adam Lang and Attila Szalai, again two great center-half. Hungary makes it a formidable backline with of course Gulasci holding a safe pair of hands.
However, Szoboszlai's absence is a big blow. The team excels with long passing and wing-back roles definitely but they won't be able to create as much in possession of the ball. The star player while in RB Salzburg would have provided the spark needed for an underdog team to achieve something in a major tournament. Provided that Hungary will be defensive for most of the part in this jam-packed group, they have much less to offer up the pitch. Szoboszlai was the man who scored the late winner against Iceland in the final of the UEFA Euro qualifiers to bring Hungary to the competition, overturning a first half deficit. He is the talismanic figure for his country.

If Hungary wants inspiration they have the 2016 Euros to demeanor. The squad wasn't solid like the one now in that tournament. Still, they manage to top the group ahead of nations like Austria, Iceland and eventual winners Portugal. Emphatically, they didn't lose any of those games in the group stages until getting knocked out by Belgium in the Round of 16. So it's no crime to dream big and exceed expectations. Hungary will be also playing with joy like last time knowing they would be the least favorites to escape the group of death. It will be no better place to give their hero back at home some charming memories.
