Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan recently completed his 450 T20 wickets. While the 23-year-old leg-spinner became the only third cricketer to pick up 450 wickets in T20 cricket history, Rashid became the fastest bowler to complete 450 T20 wickets (in terms of the number of innings).
It was the 57th IPL 2022 match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) at Pune on 10th May 2022. While GT managed to score 144/4 in 20 overs, LSG were bundled out for just 82 runs in 13.5 overs as GT earned two more points with that 62-run victory.
Gujarat Titans’ leg-spinner Rashid Khan had the match-winning bowling figures of 3.5-0-24-4. When he finished the game with the wicket of Avesh Khan, it was also Rashid’s 450th T20 wicket in his 323 T20 matches. He actually took 321 T20 innings to record his 450 T20 wickets.

Rashid Khan not only became the first Asian, second spinner and third overall bowler to complete 450 T20 wickets, but he also became the fastest bowler to complete 450 T20 wickets (in terms of the number of innings).
While the Trinidadian right-arm pacer Dwayne Bravo became the first bowler to complete 450 T20 wickets in his 394 T20 innings, the South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir recently completed his 450 T20 wickets in his 339 innings during the PSL 2022 last February.
