In the string of cricket Awards that have been given by the various organizations including the BCCI and ICC. It is time to look at the winners of the Australian Cricket Awards Winners 2023. There were a lot of deserving winners that got rewarded and both the men and women Cricketers showed up dressed and ready for the occasion. 2023 has been one of the best years for Australian cricket as they won 2 ICC Trophies and retained the Ashes.

Allan Border Medal – Mitchell Marsh

The most prestigious award that is given in Australian cricket is the Allan Border Medal. This medal was given to Mitchell Marsh who edged out Pat Cummins by 79 votes. He got 233 total votes to win this award and he gave one of the most emotional speeches ever. Mitchell Marsh has a bright future.


Belinda Clark Award – Ashleigh Gardener

The Belinda Clark Award is given to the best Women’s Player of the year and it went to Ashleigh Gardener. She got a total of 147 votes which was a little more than Elysse Perry who got 134 votes. Ashleigh Gardener took 56 wickets throughout 2023.


Shane Warne Men’s Test Player of the Year – Nathan Lyon

The best Men’s Test Player of the year went to Nathan Lyon. He had a very good 2023 where he picked his 500th Test Wicket. Nathan Lyon missed the Ashes last year but made a significant contribution in other test matches.


Women’s T20I Player of the Year – Elysse Perry

Elysse Perry is a cricketer that always gets these wins even when everyone counts her out. She was out of the team 18 months ago and she made 390 runs at a strike rate of 148.29. Elysse Perry is an all time great of the sport.


Women’s ODI Player of the Year – Elysse Perry

The Women’s ODI Player of the Year was Elysse Perry. This was her second award of the show and she has been a very good ODI Player ever since she started playing cricket. Elysse Perry is getting better with age and she will look to have a stellar 2024 as well.


Men’s ODI Player of the Year – Mitchell Marsh

The best player for Australia in Men’s ODI Cricket was Mitchell Marsh. He was voted above the captain Pat Cummins. Mitchell Marsh won his second Award of the night. He scored half centuries and a big hundred in the 2023 World Cup.


Men’s T20I Player of the Year – Jason Behrendoff

Jason Behrendoff is the 4th player from Western Australia to win the Best T20I Player of the Year award after Marcos Stoinis, Mitchell Marsh and Ashton Agar. Australia will look to win the T20I World Cup this year.


Women’s Domestic Players of the Year – Elysse Villani and Sophie Day

The joint winners of the Women’s Domestic Cricketers of the Year were Elysse Villani and Sophie Day. These are the two standout players and the ones to watch out for.


Men’s Domestic Player of the Year – Cameron Bancroft

The best Domestic Player in the Men’s Circuit was none other than Cameron Bancroft. He scored 1636 runs across all formats and he was 200 runs ahead of the next best batter and that was Matt Short.


Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year – Fergus O’ Neil

This young cricketer from Victoria is the best young player in Australia. He has taken 50 wickets in 16 matches throughout the year. He is someone to look out for in the years to come.


Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year – Emma De Broughe

The best young Women’s Cricketer of the Year was Emma De Broughe. She made a total of 731 runs at an average of 43 throughout the year and she was ahead of the rest of the players.


KFC BBL Men’s Player of the Tournament – Matt Short

The Player of the Tournament for the KFC BBL season 13 was Matt Short of the Adelaide Strikers. He made 541 runs throughout the tournament at a strike rate of 153. He was 175 ahead of the next best batter.


Weber Women’s BBL Player of the Tournament – Chamari Athapaththu

Chamari Athapaththu was no doubt the best player of the 9th season of the WBBL. She made 511 runs at a strike rate of 130. She also picked 9 Wickets throughout the tournament. And she will look to emulate these performances in the WPL coming soon.
