During that match, Starc claimed his ninth five-wicket haul in ODI cricket.
The 33-year-old Mitchell Starc was playing his 109th ODI match where he had the bowling figures of 8-1-53-5. He took India’s first four wickets (Shubman Gill 0, Rohit Sharma 13, Suryakumar Yadav 0 and KL Rahul 9) and also finished that innings by dismissing Mohammed Siraj (0).
The Player of the Match winner Starc led the visitors to bundle the hosts for only 117 runs in 26 overs. In reply, Australia chased down the target in only 11 overs without losing any wickets (Travis Head 51 not out off 30 balls, Mitchell Marsh 66 not out 36 balls).
It was Starc’s ninth ODI five-wicket haul.
