Every now and then a historic player comes along and puts up some crazy stats on the stat sheet. And the NBA is where amazing happens, ALL THE TIME. Be it logo Lillard’s threes or Steph just doing Steph things on the court, records are broken every day.
However there are some records that are absolutely untouchable and will most likely never be broken. And today we are going to list down 5 records that will dazzle you with the effort put behind it.
Though we have included a couple of blooper records as well that anyone would most likely not want to break in their NBA career.
1. Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 Point Game
We will go with the most obvious unbeatable record, Wilt’s 100 point game. Nobody in today’s NBA is going to achieve that record and will forever remain unbeaten.
The last person who came the closest was Kobe Bryant with his 81 point performance against the Toronto Raptors. Other than that, several players have had 70 point games; the last one being Devin Booker against the Boston Celtics but still, nobody is going to touch Wilt’s record.
2. Russell Westbrook’s Triple-Double Record (182)
Now we’ll go with the most recent one, Westbrook’s triple-double record. He very recently surpassed ‘The Big O’ for the record and still has quite a few years left in his tank. He currently holds the record with 182 triple-doubles and will likely have a lot more to add to his list. I highly doubt anyone is going to beat Russell Westbrook’s triple-double record.
3. Bill Russell’s 11 NBA Championships
Nobody and I mean nobody is going to win 11 NBA championships, not just as a player but as a player and coach combined either.
Having 11 championships under his belt, there isn’t anyone who has come even close to Bill Russell’s incredible feat. Out of the 13 seasons he played in the NBA for the Boston Celtics, he won 11 championships in 11 of them. Players barely win 1 championship in their 20 year career and here Bill had 11 out of 13.
4. Bubba Wells Fastest Foul-Out
Many of you might be hearing this name for the first time but Bubba Wells was a player for the Dallas Mavericks and holds the record for the fastest foul-out in NBA history.
Though he was asked to foul Dennis Rodman in a hack-a-shaq type situation and had fouled out in 2 minutes and 43 seconds. Ironically, Rodman who was a career 58% free throw shooter, shot 9-12 from the line which definitely made the post-game interview awfully hard for the Mavericks head coach.
5. Joel Anthony’s Half Hour Jog
Don’t let the title fool you, that is exactly what Joel Anthony did for 29 minutes in a game against the Trail Blazers while playing for the Miami Heat. Anthony recorded no stat during those 29 minutes and even finished the game with 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals and 0 turnovers. You could say, he had no impact on that game whatsoever and yet his team still got the W in a 107-100 victory on home court.
