Hometown to king James, the Cleveland Cavaliers are another team rebuilding in the eastern conference. After the departure of LeBron James, the Cavaliers haven't had much success over the years. But there was a time when Cleveland was at the top of the league and even won a championship in the past 5 years.
The team was led by one of the greatest duo's in Kyrie Irving and LeBron James alongside Kevin Love as a stretch bigman. Kyrie is an excellent ball handler and passer, possessing the tag of the best ball handler in the league currently, king James who's able to do everything on the court, pass, defend, score, rebound and then Kevin Love who was a great matchup as he was a bigman who could shoot 3's and make them consistently, he became a threat outside the arc which helped stretch the floor as defenders were forced to be uptight on him, clearing the way to the rim for Kyrie and James.
Another player who played a great and not so great supporting role for the Cavs then was J.R.
Smith. A deadeye 3 point shooter, Smith was an automatic fit in the Cavs lineup. Smith made a lot of big time 3's but made a huge blunder last time the Cavs and Warriors met in the NBA finals costing Cleveland the championship.
That blunder made King James leave Cleveland and the Cavaliers since then have been in rebuilding mode. They've had some good draft picks but it'll take a few years for their young rookies to develop the skills to lead their team to the playoffs.
Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are two young rookies for the Cavs that fill up their backcourt, helping their only star Kevin Love to create his own shots but that doesn't seem to be enough, leading sour relationships between Love and the Cavs front office. The Cavaliers have recently added star center Andre Drummond to their starting lineup but don't be surprised to see Love
traded to another team in the future.
