As the year 2023 is drawing to a close , it is time to rank all things WWE. 1) Gunther
Gunther has to be the best male WWE wrestler of 2023. He has been the Intercontinental Champion for the entire year and he has crossed 530+ days as the Intercontinental Champion. Gunther is someone that does not know to have a bad Match. He has had bangers all throughout the year. At WrestleMania 39, he had a triple Threat against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre which is one of the best Matches of the year. Then his rivalry with Chad Gable was one of the best of the year as they had 3 barn burners and Chad Gable was established as a singles Star. Gunther will head into 2024 as the Intercontinental Champion and he would want to have an even better next year in 2024.
2) Seth Rollins
The World Heavyweight Champion is at number 2 in this list of best male wwe wrestlers 2023. Seth Rollins has been one of the best WWE wrestlers of the last decade and almost every year he has been in the Top 5 Best WWE Wrestlers of the year. This year he has had the opportunity to be the World Heavyweight Champion and he has been the Champion for more than 7 months. He has had incredible matches against Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, WarGames Match. Seth Rollins is having a back issue yet he continues to operate at a very high level which is incredible. The rise of Jey Uso needs to be studied because 2023 has been the most important year for him as a singles Star. He has risen above The Usos and he has gotten himself over with the fans. After that he was on Raw as a Singles star and he has just grown from strength to strength. He has had great matches against Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, The Judgement Day and Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. He is heading into 2024 and he will be feuding against his brother Jimmy Uso leading into WrestleMania 40.
4) Dominik Mysterio
The MVP of WWE in 2023 has to be in this list. A year ago nobody would have thought that Dominik Mysterio would be in this position but he has reached here with his hard work and his will to get better. Dominik Mysterio has had over 100 Matches for WWE this year across all brands which includes Raw, NXT, WWE PPVs as well as NXT PPVs. He has had great matches against Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Wes Lee, Trick Williams and so many others. The Judgement Day have gotten better Since Dominik Mysterio has been in it.
5) Cody Rhodes
There could be no other wrestler that could have taken this spot. This list has 3 faces and 2 heels so it was a good year for both sets of wrestlers. Cody Rhodes returned at the Royal Rumble and ever since it has been great match after great match. His match against Roman Reigns was an instant classic. Then the trilogy of Matches he had against Brock Lesnar was great and he also had matches against Dominik Mysterio and WarGames Match as well. In 2024, he will most likely be the face of WWE after WrestleMania 40.
