World Wrestling Entertainment has over the years produced several world-class superstars. However, there is one wrestler, who has carved a legacy for himself, which sets him far apart from anyone in this business. His name is Shawn Michaels.

Shawn Michaels is undoubtedly the greatest 'show-stopper' in the field of sports entertainment. There is hardly anything unaccomplished in Michaels's career. He has competed in several pro-wrestling promotions like AWA, NWA, Texas-All Star Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. In all of these promotions, he has proved his worth and was a topmost superstar wherever he stepped his feet into.

Michaels's was a four-time World Champion. He won the WWE Championship thrice and the World Heavyweight title once. He also won the Intercontinental Championship three times, the European Championship once, WWE Tag Team Championship once and the World Tag Championship five times. He eventually became the Grand-slam Champion which was a notable feat as only a few players have been able to crown themselves as the Grand-slam Champion.

Shawn Michaels is also the winner of the prestigious Royal Rumble match back to back in 1995 and in 1996. During his tenure with the WWE, Michaels has entertained the audience both as a face and as a heel. He has delivered some of the best matches in the history of WWE, for e.g. Iron Man Match, Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania, Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania and much more. Despite not having the best physique in WWE, Michaels displayed his heart and zeal to remain at the top of the business throughout his career.

WWE Universe can never forget the infamous Montreal Screw-job in which Shawn Michaels was highly pivotal. This incident made Michaels the undisputed villain of the entire WWE roster. Similarly, fans could not stop their tears when he defeated the legendary Ric Flair at WrestleMania and made him retire. All these instances put together, reflect the fact that Shawn Michaels had a major contribution in putting WWE where it is today.

His signature move Sweet Chin Music is the most innovative signature move ever. Many of his fellow colleagues tried to imitate his move, but could never accomplish the same. Michaels also had the unique agility and it helped him to compete against both the heavyweight as well as Cruiserweight wrestlers. His high-flying ability combined with his innovative wrestling skills made him a larger than life superstar.

Shawn Michaels also had the capability to build unique promos. As a 'DX' army, he established several feuds and delivered various jaw-dropping maneuvers. He could decimate his opponents using his grandiloquent verbose with a microphone in his hand. He headlined several PPV's and did main-event several shows in WWE.

Thus, in light of the above factors, one could easily decipher that Shawn Michaels was the greatest in-ring performer ever. When he lost to the Undertaker at WrestleMania and retired, the entire WWE Universe across the globe couldn't accept the reality. He has won several awards in his career and has established himself as the ultimate king of the ring. Wrestlers will come and go, but there will never be another Shawn Michaels.
