This is a very interesting topic and a good question because normally these are the 2 biggest shows of the year for WWE and for a variety of reasons and especially in 2023 this debate gains more prominence because both those shows could be the biggest and we will talk about both these PPVs separately first and then I will give my opinion as to which one will be bigger
Before we talk about this debate, I want to say that I have never been as excited as I am going into 2023 because I trust Triple H to pull out all the stops to make his first Royal Rumble and WrestleMania as the creative head a roaring success and one of the best ever. So, let’s talk about both these shows individually first.
Royal Rumble
The Royal Rumble is my favorite match of the entire WWE year and now that we have 2 Royal Rumble Matches with 1 for the men and 1 for the women so we get to see 60 top superstars compete for the main event spot at WrestleMania. And the Royal Rumble matches in 2023 promise to be some of the best and most exciting and there are rumors that it could even be a 40 person match but I would like for it to be at 30. The Royal Rumble could easily be the biggest show of the year based on the returns that could happen at this show and one for the history books. 28th January 2023 will be a very special day for WWE fans.
WrestleMania 39
WrestleMania is traditionally the biggest show of the year for WWE and WrestleMania 38 was the best WrestleMania in quite some time as there were great matches and some shocking moments and that is all WWE fans want from a WrestleMania and now that it is 2 nights so more top WWE superstars get a chance to perform at the show. WrestleMania 39 is looking to be the biggest WrestleMania of all time if the rumours are true about the show about The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, Logan Paul, Pat McAfee, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey competing are true. And the fact that it is happening in Hollywood means that top level Hollywood stars can also come to the show or be a part of the event.

Which will be the bigger WWE PPV of 2023?
As much as I love the Royal Rumble match and potential list of surprises that can happen at the show, it simply cannot match up to WrestleMania because if it was any other WrestleMania I would have given the Royal Rumble a chance but with the chance that WrestleMania 39 will be the biggest and possibly the best of all time I believe that WrestleMania 39 will not only be the biggest show of 2023 for WWE but one of the biggest 2 nights in WWE history in a long time.
