WWE NXT Gold Rush 2023 Week 1 Results

NXT Gold Rush Week 1 is in the books and it is safe to say that it was one of the best and most important shows in a long time and this was just week 1 of the event. Shawn Michaels has found the perfect match of star Matches and Superstars that will take the NXT brand forward and in this show one of the most important Matches in NXT history took place and that match was a banger.

The NXT Superstars want to show the world that they are not lesser than any wrestlers in the world and day in and day out they are proving just that.

So, let’s look at the results for NXT Gold Rush Week 1.

Wes Lee beat Tyler Bate for NXT North American Championship

This was the first match of the show and this was one of the most highly anticipated matches of the entire show and Mustafa Ali was the special guest referee for this match as well. This match was an incredible wrestling match from 2 top tier talents and they wrestled for 13 minutes and in those 13 minutes Tyler Bate came so close to winning the title but it was Wes Lee who showed why he is the champion and he retained the NXT North American Championship and the tension between those 3 men was visible after the match as well.

Edris Enofe and Malik Blade beat Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs and Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in number 1 contenders match

This was the second match of the night and it was a triple Threat for the number 1 contenders for the tag team titles and it was a fast paced great 10 minute match and in this short time they showed why they are here in NXT and why they all deserve more opportunities and this match was also a test for all these teams to see who will go to the next level and ultimately it was the team of Edris Enofe and Malik Blade won the match and now they will fight for the NXT tag team titles next week

Cora Jade Beat Dana Brooke

This was the first women’s match in this show and it is safe to say that this was not the highest caliber of matches and Cora Jade tried her best to have a great match but Dana Brooke had an off day and it showed in the match but still they fought for 10 minutes and it was not all bad because at the start they were having a good one and the fans were also into it. Cora Jade won the match via referee stoppage and now Cora Jade can look forward to bigger and better things.

Seth Rollins beat Bron Breakker for World Heavyweight Championship

The main event of the evening was the highly anticipated match between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker for the World Heavyweight Championship and this was one of the best matches of the year and Seth Rollins was a beast as he defended his championship in a weak physical condition as well. Bron Breakker was motivated to prove himself in the biggest match of his young career and he did not disappoint as they had a match for 18 minutes and Seth Rollins allowed Bron Breakker to shine and they had an absolute banger of a match and in the end it was Seth Rollins who won the match and Bron Breakker should go to the main roster from here on because he has nothing to do in NXT.

Other things that happened at the show

Seth Rollins and Carmelo Hayes came face to face in a champion vs champion interaction and after the main event Finn Balor attacked Seth Rollins but Melo and Trick saved him .

Seth Rollins and Nathan Frazier had a great moment and Seth Rollins got to tell him how proud he is of his student
