Top 5 WWE PPVs of 2022

After talking about the Top 5 Best WWE Moments as Matches we will talk about the best PPVs of WWE of this year and this was a very strong year for PPVs in WWE as almost all the shows were good to great si choosing the Top 5 Best WWE PPVs was hard but hopefully my list will be similar to our readers list as well.

Before we talk about the best WWE PPVs of the year, I want to say that I Hope that the strong list of WWE shows continues in 2023 and by looking at the track record that Triple H has had since taking over I have full faith in him. So, let’s talk about the Top 5 Best WWE PPVs of the year.

WrestleMania 38

Generally, WrestleMania is not in the discussion for the best WWE shows of the year but WrestleMania 38 was one of the best PPVs in a long time and not only because it had some of the best Matches but also some of the best moments of the year . From Cody Rhodes returning to WWE and Bianca Belair winning the Raw Women’s Championship and then we saw Stone Cold Steve Austin have a match after 19 years against Kevin Owens. Then in night 2 we saw the return of Triple H and then we saw the incredibly entertaining Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn match and then Pat McAfee had a great showing.

SummerSlam 2022

The next PPV in my list is SummerSlam of this year and this was the first PPV that Triple H had to run and he had no time to change the plans so what he did was he had Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair have a cracking match and then we saw the shocking returns of Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai. Then we saw Logan Paul steal the show vs The Miz. Then we saw The Usos have a great match and finally in the end we had the legendary last man standing match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Extreme Rules 2022

I never thought that I would put Extreme Rules 2022  in a list of the best WWE PPVs of the year but that is what Triple H did and he made sure that every match at this show was a stipulation match and all the matches felt so different. We had a ladder match then a strap match then an Extreme Rules match and then I Quit Match and a Fight Pit and finally we saw the mind boggling return of Bray Wyatt. It was the benchmark for other Extreme Rules shows for the future.

Clash at the Castle

This PPV will easily be in the list of Top 5 WWE shows of 2022 for everyone as this was one of those shows which had some of the best in-ring action. We had Damage Ctrl beat Bianca’s team in a great match then we saw the 5 star classic between Gunther and Sheamus. Then we saw Seth Rollins vs Matt Riddle have an incredible match and at the end we saw Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre in an amazing match so this show will be in the Top 5.

Survivor Series WarGames

Since the last 5-6 years Survivor Series was a show which was not as important as the other Big 3 shows of the year and the moment Triple H took charges he made sure that he brought the WarGames concept to Survivor Series and what a home run it was. As the Women’s WarGames match was great and all the wrestlers in the watch showed that they are ready for the brutality and then in the main event we saw something which propelled this show to be in the Top 5. We saw The Bloodline as a team for the first time and Sami Zayn had to prove himself and in the end they won and Sami Zayn became a part of The Bloodline.
