There is absolutely no surprise that this match is the best match in the career of Shawn Michaels and not just his WrestleMania career. This is what can be called a perfect wrestling match. It was two of the best at the absolute peak of their powers and since the time of their entrances the audience was hooked completely as it waxed lightness vs darkness. They were two artists playing the orchestra in the wrestling ring that ring that day and the audience was hanging to every thread. The Undertaker showed so much emotion in this match as Shawn Michaels did not go down and Shawn was doing anything possible to win the match. The pace picked up and so did the finishing moves and both of them kicked out and in the end one mistake by Shawn was enough for Undertaker to win the match. A masterpiece in the truest sense.

This was the first match for Shawn Michaels at the grandest stage in over four years so the pressure was there on him but he had a very good partner in Chris Jericho who was equally as good a worker as him. They both instantly connected and the fans were into the match from the start, Chris reversed the Sweet Chin music multiple times and used a lot of Shawn ‘s offense against him and Shawn was wrestling a regular match. The contrast in styles was helping this match a lot and when Shawn Michaels beat Chris Jericho with a roll up it not only made Shawn Michaels comeback a success but it made Chris Jericho a bigger star after the match and a legitimate main event player in WWE.

The third match is the last singles match in the career of Shawn Michaels and it was match that sold out the entire stadium of WrestleMania 26 as all the fans wanted to see the conclusion to this epic saga and it didn’t disappoint at all. It was easily the best match of the year as well and both these legends put on a show for all the fans and there was emotional investment in this match and this time Shawn made no mistake and The Undertaker was in his element and they had an incredible match yet again and it wax worth the wait. In the end Shawn Michaels riled up Undertaker and he hit one last Tombstone as the career was over. One of the best retirement matches of all time.

Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart (WrestleMania 12)
The best iron man match of all time happened in this match featuring two of the greatest in ring workers of all time as Shawn Michaels and Brer Hart were prepared to steal the show that night. When the match started, the fans were in bates breath as to what will happen and no one was disappointed as both of these greats out on a show for the fans and put on a technical masterpiece that will be talked about for years to come. And even after 60 minutes of brilliant action there was no winner between the two and the match went into overtime and after a few minutes Shawn Michaels hit his finisher and with all the energy left hooked both legs and bia boyhood dream came true and he was the face of WWE.

The match that made history and the match that made so many careers possible as this was the first televised ladder match in wrestling and no two better people could have the responsibility of making the ladder match concept a great one and these two put on show that night and did things with a ladder that made it a match no one would forget. The pain they felt in their bodies made for such a compelling story and in the end Shawn Michaels jumped from the ladder and it was the most amazing sight and he won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 10 and the ladder match became a permanent thing in history and this is still considered the best ladder match of all time.
